Dr. Chit N. Reodica is a veteran public health worker who holds the distinction of being the first woman Philippine Secretary of Health from 1996-1998. Her range of experience in health services, stretching over a period of 37 years, covers international and national health development; health program design, management and delivery both at the national and local levels; public health administration; international health policy and diplomacy; and, pioneering innovative approaches to health promotion. She has remained passionate with her advocacies as evidenced by the various positions she currently holds:
• President, US-based Center for Health Innovation and Solution
• Chairman, Blood Services Committee, Red Cross-Rizal Chapter

o Children’s Hour Foundation
o The Justice Cecilia Munoz Palma Foundation

She was the recipient of many awards granted by both the government and private sectors among which are: the PARAGON of the Career Executive Service (CESO), Pillar of Excellence in Public Health (UPMAA Oblation Awards), and the Presidential Medal of Merit Award. She was likewise the first recipient of Teresa's Light, an award granted by St. Theresa's College-Quezon City, to outstanding alumnae who have made far-reaching impact to society.
