The Municipality of Burgos, Siargao was severely devastated by Typhoon Odette in 2021. Profoundly affected were the structure and operations of their barangay daycare centers. As its pilot project, Tanglaw ni Teresa is adopting the Pugtac Daycare Center of Bgy. Poblacion 2 in Burgos which currently serves twenty (20) children, making it one of the bigger daycare centers in the area in terms of enrollment.

 Employing its brand of service, Kalinga ni Teresa, the project's focus will be on the health, nutrition, and education of the Pugtac daycare children whose ages range from 0-59 months old. Included in the target beneficiaries are the children’s families and all eight (8) daycare workers of Burgos who will receive training on early childhood teaching and learning.  

Starting with the repair and rehabilitation of the Pugtac DCC coupled with establishing systems of delivering essential services, Tanglaw ni Teresa aims to complete the project in 2 years. Within this period, technical support will also be provided to the Department of Education in the training of all Kindergarten teachers in Siargao Island.
