Dr. Emma Mañalac is a pediatrician, independent consultant and public health specialist with experience in steering programs for child and community health in both local and international settings. Specifically, her focus is on the roll-out of child survival programs through engagement in planning, capacity building, monitoring, supervision and evaluation. She worked as a consultant on child health programs, specifically the Integrated Management for Child Health Illnesses (IMCI) for the Department of Health (DOH) Family Health Office and Centers for Health Development regional offices. Aside from the Philippines, Dr. Emma has shared her expertise in Fiji, Kiribati, Lao PDR, Pakistan, Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste while consulting with international institutions such as the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and Novartis Foundation. She also engaged in various medical and scientific researches, presented and published these in renowned journals and conferences. Currently, Dr. Emma remains active as a lecturer/consultant for Westmont Pharmaceuticals and as Board Member of the St. Theresa’s College Quezon City Alumnae Association.
